Operations Maestro in Flow
There’s an art to keeping us, our processes and clinical organization moving forward

Why “Maestro in Flow”? Because for an organization like ours, we’re looking for someone who is more than an Operations Officer; we’re looking for someone who can bring a certain artistry to this position. Someone who can not only keep up with our mission and ambition, but who can help us keep up with it as well.

Initially, your primary responsibility will be to effectively lead our FLUID multicentre clinical trial to successful conclusion. You’ll need to work closely with the research nurses at all locations, as well as handle all business processes such as outsourcing, logistics, IT, administration and people management. Going forward, the priorities will change and the focus will be on bringing our innovative product to market successfully and establish Haermonics as a sustainable, thriving business. Yours is a leading role in a dynamic environment. We’re looking for someone who is a quick learner and doesn’t like every day to be the same. You’re a natural, if informal leader, smart in defining processes and equally adept at helping people align with them. Intuitive, proactive, and infectiously optimistic, you keep the team on task and the organization on schedule.

You’ll report directly to the CEO and serve as his ‘right hand’. This is a long-term career opportunity to become Chief Operations Officer.

Your responsibilities:

  • Ensure the FLUID trial project is successfully realized within budget and on schedule
  • Contribute to our customer value proposition
  • Act as a consultant in designing optimal processes, transforming then into practical procedures that help our company to grow
  • Responsible for all purchasing and logistics within the company
  • Design an onboarding program and align all staff to empower and ensure optimal individual and team performance
  • Ensuring all primary and secondary processes and operations are well organized and followed
  • Ensure the traceability of all supplies and stock
  • Contribute to the recertification of the ISO13485 standards (under the responsibility of your QA/RA colleague)
  • Implement and maintain a Customer Relation Management system (Zoho, SalesForce or similar)
  • Cultivate a can-do culture and manage operations in such a way that we’re all working in concert (you bring the ‘haermony’ to Haermonics!)

What you bring to the team:

To fulfill this role, you thrive on organizing, professionalism and bringing people and processes together.

  • Technical, logistics or business M.Sc. in (e.g. Industrial Engineering, business administration or Industrial Design)
  • 2-5 years of relevant industry experience; we’re looking for bright new talent with management ambition
  • Superior project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills and sensibilities, with a natural ability to foster collaboration
  • A quality-oriented mindset with a proven ability to drive improvements
  • A pioneering attitude and ambition to work with an agile team in a start-up/scale-up environment
  • Intuitive stakeholder management skills
  • The right mix of ‘can-do’ and creativity to meet ambitious company targets
  • Experience in Healthcare industry is a plus
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal; Dutch language a definite advantage

What we offer:

Our goal is to save 10,000 lives by 2030. So we’re looking to build a dedicated team that we can count on, so that others can count on us. Besides a driven purpose, joining the Haermonics team will give you:

  • A competitive salary.
  • 28 Days of leave and the possibility to purchase up to 10 extra days off annually
  • Colleagues who are the best and brightest in their field
  • A personal development budget, free training and coaching (after all, remaining “the best and brightest” requires ongoing dedication)
  • A young, dynamic, international, high-tech scale-up environment, where you will collaborate daily with top-level medical device suppliers
  • Direct access to clinical practices and colleagues in leading academic centers
  • Option to join our Share Appreciation Rights plan (because our success is your success and we’re looking for long-term committers)

About Haermonics

Currently conducting a clinical trial in 4 clinics of our innovative post cardiac surgery flushing technique, we’re in the final product development stages, aiming to go to market early 2024.

We are curious by nature. “Is there a better way?” is our daily reflection. Undaunted by the complicated, we understand that in every tangle of complexity, there lies an elegant solution. We strip a problem down to its essence. We simplify to clarify.  Because simplicity inspires action.  Above all, we believe in what we do. Unbound by convention, we are the change we want to see in the world. Viva la evolution.
